Blog 6: Favorite Series/Movie

I am terrible at choosing something favorite, so I will say some movies and series that I really like. Among my favorite films are Whiplash, Cinema Paradiso, Spirited Away, City of God and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. They all touch on very different topics, but I love the photography in these films and the stories.

I don't have a favorite show, but I love Mindhunter, Clarence, and the Simpsons. The first is about FBI agents who are developing a theory to analyze criminals, it has two seasons and I think it is excellent.Clarence is an animated series that I really like because I watch it with my little sister Ignacia. I really like how they touch on various topics, such as family or friendship. And in the case of the Simpsons, I've always seen them with my dad since I was little, which is a series that I love, but only the first seasons. I really like animated series or movies, I feel that they allow us to represent reality in a different way. My favorites characters are Clarence and Bart Simpson.

I am currently watching "The Boys" and I really liked it. The series mixes action and themes such as power using superheroes, much like Watchmen.

For me music is something very important in my life and it always accompanies me. I listen to many musical genres and styles, but among the genres I listen to the most are reggaeton and trap, r & b, soul and hip hop. I also really like British bands and indie music. I don't have a favorite artist as I actually like a lot of genres and styles that I listen to at various times of the day. These last few weeks, I have listened to Greentea Peng a lot. I really like her voice and the warmth that she transmits. Also, I can't stop listening to the latest Kali Uchis album. She is a goddess. Some of my favorite albums are: Piano Bar by Charly García, Almendra, 1992 by Princess Nokia, Locura by Virus, El Perreo de la Muerte by Yung Beef and Getz / Gilberto.

Blog 1: My autobiography

My name is Almendra Muñoz. I was born in 1998, in Valparaíso, the city where I grew up. For this reason, the sea and the hills are very important to me, the coastal nature accompanied me and marked my way of being. My parents met at the University of Valparaíso studying social work when they were about 20 years old. I was born in this context, being a surprise in a social work school, so I have memories in classes with my parents or hugging the librarian who took care of me in the tests and gave me sweets.
