English Class

For me music is something very important in my life and it always accompanies me. I listen to many musical genres and styles, but among the genres I listen to the most are reggaeton and trap, r & b, soul and hip hop. I also really like British bands and indie music. I don't have a favorite artist as I actually like a lot of genres and styles that I listen to at various times of the day. These last few weeks, I have listened to Greentea Peng a lot. I really like her voice and the warmth that she transmits. Also, I can't stop listening to the latest Kali Uchis album. She is a goddess. Some of my favorite albums are: Piano Bar by Charly García, Almendra, 1992 by Princess Nokia, Locura by Virus, El Perreo de la Muerte by Yung Beef and Getz / Gilberto. 

My favorite subject in this semester is "Psychoanalysis, culture and society". We within the subject we read very interesting texts, with a very critical approach to modernity. We see authors as Freud, Marcurse and Zizek. Also, classmates present texts and create spaces for reflection regarding their ideas and the social reality. We have learned very important concepts from psychoanalysis, such as sublimation or explanations regarding the masses, and that is really interesting, because is a way to understand some things that are happening. I believe that psychoanalysis presents a very special idea of ​​understanding the person, the unconscious being an existing space that has an impact on life. I like the subjects that come from the biologist paradigm, giving space to interpretations of this type regarding subjectivity. I hope you have a very good week!

I'm not a big fan of technology, but I think my favorite piece of technology is my Iphone, because I use it to work, its camera being a fundamental tool in my life. I never thought I would have a cell phone of this type, but for my store I invested in this one and it has helped me and I use it a lot. I like the operating system that my cell phone has. It's very fast and I can do a lot of things with it, even measuring surfaces with the camera. Also, I like that it allows me to keep in touch with my friends and that I can listen to music all day. Even so, I think that without the cell phone I think my life would be much better. I hope the system will collapse soon, because i feel half cyborg and it's weird jaja. With the pandemic, my cell phone use increased and I hope it continues to decrease more and more.

As a child I dreamed of being a dancer, singer and teacher, all together at the same time. I also wanted to be Spiderman. Then when I grew up, I was between studying law and psychology. I believe that law is a career that, if used in a good way, can help many people, as in matters such as human rights. I first studied psychology, then I spent a year in law and finally decided to continue in psychology. Although I did not like the law degree, I learned a lot and I believe that all learning is good. I believe that mental health is essential for all people to develop and have well-being. I remember that when I was 15 years old, I saw the documentary "The culture of sex" by TVN, where different ways of understanding and living sexuality are presented,being something that strongly influenced me. My name is Almendra Muñoz. I was born in 1998, in Valparaíso, the city where I grew up. For this reason, the sea and the hills are very important to me, the coastal nature accompanied me and marked my way of being. My parents met at the University of Valparaíso studying social work when they were about 20 years old.
