My name is Almendra Muñoz. I was
born in 1998, in Valparaíso, the city where I grew up. For this reason, the sea
and the hills are very important to me, the coastal nature accompanied me and
marked my way of being.
My parents met at the University
of Valparaíso studying social work when they were about 20 years old. I was
born in this context, being a surprise in a social work school, so I have
memories in classes with my parents or hugging the librarian who took care of
me in the tests and gave me sweets.
My family is made up of my
grandparents and my mother, who raised me with a lot of love. My parents are
divorced, but we have been able to maintain a very good relationship with my
father. My family always spoke to me about social problems and they have always
sought to help people through their professions. I come from a family that have always had the aspiration
to contribute to the public health of Valparaíso.
In 2016 my sister Ignacia was
born, who filled us with happiness and tenderness. Ignacia is a girl full of
life and creativity, being a ray of light for all of us. With the birth of
Ignacia, the relationship with my mother was strengthened a lot as we were the
ones who shared her first care. I love my sister and over the years I have
learned as much from her as she has from me.
I had my primary and secondary
education at the Seminario San Rafael de Valparaíso school. In that school I
had excellent teachers who helped me a lot. Even so, Christian education was an
issue that bothered me and that many times I had to question.
When I arrived in Santiago, I lived in various boarding houses where I made great friends from many parts of the world. I met beautiful people who opened their lives and their hearts to my, which marked me a lot. Also at the University, I was able to meet my friends who have become a family to me in this city. I feel very lucky about this.

I really like to dance, I dance in the Mari ATS tribe. I also love music, listening to it and now I am learning to mix it. Another thing that I put a lot of time into is the @ FINO.CL store, which together with my boyfriend Tomás we set up and continue to maintain and work every day.
A few weeks ago with Tomás we
adopted Luna, so now we are parents. We are happy to give her a lot of energy. She has become my companion and friend.
